Tim was stuck at $6M for 3 years. He couldn't build more systems. This leadership lesson got him to $18M: But for 3 years, his business could not get past $6M. He couldn't figure it out. Until a coach told him that more systems wouldn't fix anything. He needed to get more out of the system. So that meant he needed to upgrade his leadership. He needed leaders who could make decisions without him. Leaders are expensive. So it was a big risk. But once he tried it? Tim told me he TRIPLED his company. Leadership is how a $6M company becomes a $18M company: Full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdmZB_F3Nl8

Tim had to double his price. He was nervous. Until it helped him reach $18M: Tim worried he might lose some customers if he raised his prices. But he had to so he could afford to hire the best people (and get his clients the best quality). So he did it. But he designed the pricier offer so well that his customers still wanted it. 90% bought more! That changed the business entirely. More margin made better hires possible. Better hires made the company easier to run. Tim said they were 3X over last year. The useful lesson is simple: Your offer decides the team you can afford to build. If the offer is priced too low, you can't afford the best talent. Full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdmZB_F3Nl8

Tim needed a sales leader. But after he hired him? Sales dropped. Here's what he did to fix his sales (and hit $18M): Tim thought he was hiring one leader. The role was really 5 or 6 jobs packed into one seat. This person had to hire, train, track the numbers, coach the team, and advise reps while Tim stepped away. For about 90 days, it looked like the handoff might work. Then sales would start falling. Tim would come back in, replace the leader, and try again. The third time showed him the real problem: The job was too big for one person. A sales leader can lead sales. One person usually cannot build every part of the sales function at once. Sometimes founders keep replacing the person when they should be rebuilding the role. Full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdmZB_F3Nl8
