Varun Bhuchar told me he fired his client. The client was paying a lot! But he had to get rid of him. Varun walked me through it: - The work started fine. - Then the client stopped answering. - Tax season made it worse. - Varun kept chasing him. - The fee stopped matching the effort. - He would have told someone else to cut it earlier. So he did. Bad clients can poison the rest of the bunch. Full story on Legends of Scale: [LINK]

Varun Bhuchar raised prices on 2 clients this year. Both said yes. The reason was the conversation before the number: Varun does not raise prices every few months just because he can. He looks at the work. He looks at the client. He looks at what has changed. This year, only 2 clients needed a price change. When he told them, he explained why. Both accepted. That is the part most firms skip. A price increase lands better when the client can see the work behind it. And it opens another door. Some clients started asking for more help. Varun could say: “That is included.” Or: “That is outside scope, and here is the price.” That is how MRR grows without turning every client into a fight. Clear scope makes price feel fair.

Varun Bhuchar runs operations for 50+ YouTubers. So I asked him, "what's the hardest part about running businesses for YouTubers?" A few parts made this interesting: - A creator with 50,000 followers can make $500,000+ year. - YouTubers want to copy MrBeast and start spending 99.997% of their revenue on videos. - Most creators need to stop copying MrBeast and start keeping some of the money they make.
